PATIENT(CE) - a physical requiem

PATIENT(CE) (2015) is an evening-length, interdisciplinary work inspired by the structure of jazz with its formal emphasis on the eternal present. Through a collaboration with futuristic jazz ensemble Burnt Sugar the Arkestra Chamber and visual installation by Batten Bland and Alaric Hahn, PATIENT(CE) examines grace one finds in life when harmony is found between space and time. This creation is a special piece as it is an ode, to Ed Bland the controversial contemporary jazz composer and film maker. Stefanie’s father.
